Severe storms roared through northwest Alabama on Friday night, with damage reports including a person pinned in a car in Florence and widespread power outages. A tree reportedly fell on the trapped person's vehicle in the Seven Points area of Florence, according to the NWS, which shared the damage report at 11:22 p.m. Friday. Minutes earlier, the NWS' office in Huntsville received reports of many trees down -- in some cases trees toppled on houses -- in Sheffield and Tuscumbia. 'Widespread power outages have also been reported,' the agency said.
