A development coming to Florence is aiming to be a great place to call home, do business and have fun. All at the same time. Approved by the city council last week, the West Village is on track to weave a unique identity around downtown Florence, the University of North Alabama campus, and the greater Shoals area. It will be part residential, 'including apartments, cozy courtyard units, townhomes, and single-family homes.' Part commercial, 'for small business owners interested in locating their business in the neighborhood.
