Image from the Florence Alabama Police Department Facebook page On Monday, the Florence Police Department received a call at approximately 8 a.m. concerning a suspicious aircraft flying around Florence High School. According to the Florence Police Department, school resource officers and patrol officers responded to the high school. Police say they were notified about 8:15 a.m. of a medical assist concerning a crash with a motorized hang glider near the 4100 block of Rushton Street. Firefighters, police, and medical personnel were all on scene.
