The Alabama House of Representatives unanimously approved a bill aimed at streamlining the adoption process. Adoption lawyer Willie Florence Sr. told WVTM 13 the process can drag on for more than a year. "These are human beings," Florence said. "These are lives. They don't have their parents. They need somebody to love them. We don't need to put that on hold. We need to expedite this as soon as possible.' Alabama House Rep. Ginny Shaver sponsored a bill to speed up the process that got unanimous approval last week.
